Wow. Somehow this gem passed through the media without much attention, but I cannot believe Hillary Clinton would make a gaffe of this size. Somewhere buried in an article about Clinton's rebuttal against her falling poll numbers:
She did not spare President Bush in her remarks, either. In Hampton on Sunday night, Mrs. Clinton ribbed Mr. Bush for saying he had looked into the soul of President Vladimir V. Putin. "I could have told him Putin was a K.G.B. agent," she said. "He has no soul."

Is it just me, or does this seem like a terrible gaffe to anyone else? The most powerful nation in the world next to us, China, and perhaps one or two others.
Hillary Clinton just said the leader of Russia "has no soul."
I honestly need to ask this: Is that a good idea? I don't think so.
No, if you ask me, a statement like that goes hand in hand with something like, say, "axis of evil".
Do we REALLY need to be provoking Russia right now? Do we really need to follow Bush's "with us or against us" mentality in a new Democratic package? Is this the face the Democratic party needs to repair our image as a nation around the world?
I say no.
And at a time when Russia is gaining back their influence, has a rising economy, is becoming more nationalistic, and just overwhelmingly voted to keep Putin's party, and by extension, Putin in power. Is this a good move? Do you think other countries don't listen to what she says because she's not President yet? Don't you think there's just a small chance Putin might remember a comment like that if she eventually becomes the President?
And don't you think, in a time when Russia is already angry about missile defense systems, US bullying and influence in their sphere, and the stubborn refusal of the US to allow Russia a pathway to NATO while trying to recruit all their ex-satellites to NATO and the EU, that this just might not be a time to piss off their most popular politician since the fall of the USSR?
Nevermind that we need Russia's influence and cooperation to help us in conflicts in Iran and North Korea.
WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING, HILLARY?
